Cover image: Mosaic HIV-1 genomes created by genetic recombination during one virus replication cycle. T lymphocytes were infected with two divergent strains of HIV-1, and 13 recombinant genomes were sequenced. Individual HIV-1 genomes run vertically, and alternating blue and purple bars represent sequences derived from each parental strain. See the article by Levy et al. on pages 4204–4209.
