Griseofulvin treatment inhibits human tumor cell proliferation at mitosis in a manner similar to microtubule-targeted antitumor drugs that suppress microtubule dynamics. A normal spindle is shown in the upper left (with red highlighting microtubules and blue highlighting chromosomes), and blocked spindles are shown along the bottom and at the right.
