Cover image: Brain microglia showing dendritic-like cell characteristics in transgenic Alzheimer's disease mice immunized with glatiramer acetate. T cell-based vaccination with glatiramer acetate, given according to a specific regimen, decreased amyloid plaque formation, induced neurogenesis, and reduced cognitive loss in this mouse model. Such dendritic-like microglia may contribute to the brain's resistance to Alzheimer's disease and slow disease progression. See the article by Butovsky et al. on pages 11784–11789.
