Cells were developed on filters saturated with 10 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 6.4 (A); 10 mM potassium phosphate buffer containing 20 mM KCl and 5 mM MgCl2 (B); 10 mM potassium phosphate buffer containing 20 mM KCl, 5 mM MgCl2, and 100 mM sorbitol (C).
