  • Each mediation model was evaluated separately, with each indirect effect calculated and each SE estimated via bootstrap using the PROCESS macro. The individual indirect effects were weighted by a factor of 1/(SE2) (i.e., inverse variance weighting) to produce a first-order estimate of the mean indirect effect size: mean effect size = 3.05, SE = 0.510, Z = 5.98, P < 0.001.
