  • Each mediation model was evaluated separately, with each indirect effect calculated and each SE estimated via bootstrap using the PROCESS macro. The individual indirect effects were weighted by a factor of 1/(SE2) (i.e., inverse variance weighting) to produce a first-order estimate of the mean indirect effect size. For Intent (continuous): mean effect size = 5.53, SE = 0.711, Z = 7.77, P < 0.001. For Intent (dichotomous): mean effect size = 0.362, SE = 0.053, Z = 6.78, P < 0.001. Coefficients in study 3 do not control for participant estimates of actual time.
